Hey, do you have any interest in seeing the Pogues?

Or The Format? I think I'm gonna be going to see them too.

When and where and how much for both?

Pogues would be fun. I guess it's 50/50 whether or not Shane will be drunk and singing badly, or drunk and singing amazingly.

What's The Format like?

Unfortunately, the pogues are not cheap... circa $50. But who knows when they might tour again? Shane can't be with us much longer...

The Format.... hmmmm... just straight ahead modern pop. Think XTC, sugarplastic, beatles... just good modern guitar pop. I think you'd like them, knowing some of the bands you do like. http://www.myspace.com/theformat, give them a listen. I don't know how much their tickets will be, but I can't imagine it'll be too much.

They sound fantastic. Put me down as a definite yes on The Format. (Well, depending on when they are playing.)

50 bucks is kind of high. When are you getting tickets? I have to think about that. Because, I imagine it would be a great show. But, still 50 bucks.

The Format is playing a couple different places around here, HoB in Anaheim and Avalon in Hollywood Aug 29 - Sept. 1 (and the 2nd in Las Vegas). I have a couple of friend in town that week, and one of them is also a fan. I haven't decided which show would be the best for us to go to yet, but obviously, the Avalon would be the easiest to get to.

Yeah, 50 bucks is definitely high, and more than I would pay for most bands. I definitely want to see the Pogues before they're no more, though. I'd definitely understand if someone didn't want to pay that much, though.
