Hello. I'm still alive.

Lessee... Thanksgiving remains my favorite day of the year. Tons of great food and all my closest friends in one place, what more could I ask for? There were 32 of us this year, including children. If we keep growing, we're gonna have to start renting out a banquet hall.

There are rats in my apartment. They were invited in, though, so it's okay. Drew and Mare bought them as pets for Abby, but it turns out D&M are allergic to them, so they had to get rid of them. I was happy to take them, as I've been wanting an easy-to-take-care-of pet. They're actually really great pets; very cute and friendly, and supposedly they're very smart, although I notice they still haven't gotten jobs. I do need to rename them, though... right now, they were named by a 3 year-old. I'm open to suggestions.

Between stupid American laws and my Windows machine going kaput, my online poker source of income has come to a close for the time being. I need to fix that soon...

FINALLY finishing up that short film we made 2 years ago. We've been plagued by sound problems, but we're all finally in a position to have the time/resources to get it fixed. We did ADR a few weeks ago for one of the characters, and we'll get the other one done next week. Yay, for not abandoning projects.

I added another slash to my job description... I'm now writer/director/actor. Wooo.

When I was 6, I had some pet guinea pigs. They had two litters over the years and for one of the litters, I named the three of them based on the color of their ears:

Blacky
Whitey
Pinky

I had no idea.

I like Rosencrantz & Guilderstern, but I guess I should point out that they're both female. Not that I think they'd be offended, but it still seems somehow wrong to give them guy names.

I think it would be hilarious, personally. Why not? Be prepared, though- if you name them Diane and Zette they'll spend all their time, gossiping, telling fart jokes, drinking, and smoking weed. And using up all of your bandwidth.

Thanks! I will let everyone know when the film is released. I should mention that I have no actual lines in the film, which is a good thing for all involved, as I'm among the world's worst actors.

It was a great show! It was the final night of their US tour, and I think they played extra long because of that. I have to pick up their latest CD; I liked a lot from it even though I was hearing it for the first time.

No matter how smart the rats are, they're not going to come when you call their names. Might as well get some enjoyment from it. You could take a page from Bill Cosby and name them Dammit and Jesus Christ. After all, you'l be exclaiming that when you find the present they left in your dress shoes.

I'm happy to see your post. It means you are alive. Any plans to head East for the holidays?

No plans to head back for the holidays, no. It'll probably be a while before I get back east; my parents are coming out here for a visit in February. Hope to see you guys before too long, though!

They are Ingrid and Veronica. And they are in the slow but sure process of chewing an escape hole through the plastic base of their cage. The ingrates.

No, I am not still alive... I died a few months ago in a freak skee-ball accident. It was very tragic.

Hey, I do read your lj! Just 'cause I'm too lazy to post these days doesn't mean I don't read... :P

No plans for a visit in the near future. My parents were just out here a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure when I'll be back. Sometime this year though, definitely. Ha ha, that slims it down, huh?
